Occupational Health & Safety
Providence College strives to provide a safe and healthy environment for the college community at large, as well as to all other visitors to our campus. This is done through rigorous and consistently applied programs that anticipate, identify, evaluate, and control hazards that are an inherent part of maintaining our facility. We strive to help individuals and departments achieve compliance with all local, state and federal regulations, as well as any applicable Providence College policies and procedures.
A large piece of that involves those who maintain, modify, and build our facilities, specifically PC maintenance workers and outside contractors. As valued members of the college community, they play important roles in assisting us in maintaining a safe and accident free work environment. As such, those workers on campus are required to strictly adhere to all local, state and federal safety rules and regulations, including proper training.
This page provides the College community, specifically maintenance workers and outside contractors, information and resources that will assist them with ensuring a safe working environment here on campus. The links to the left provide both specific College policies and practices as well as links to other informational and regulatory resources.
